Pastor Rod Parsley
Founder & President of WHCMF
At the age of 8, Rod Parsley
responded to an alter call to become born again...and by time he
was a teenager, he had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit
and answered the call of God.
During his sophomore year in
Bible college, he began teaching a Bible study in the backyard of his
parents home and within two years that fellowship became a church.
As the church grew, Pastor Parsley was introduced to
Dr. Lester Sumrall, a man known as a "pastor of pastors." Founder of
the Lester Sumrall Evangelistic Association and renowned speaker,
Dr. Sumrall became Pastor Parsley's mentor and spiritual father.
In 1987, Pastor Rod dedicated his immense 5200 seat
facility in honor of Dr. Sumrall's ministry and called the fellowship
"World Harvest Church." And in 1992, Sumrall passed his "sword of
anointing" to Rod and Joni Parsley and they haven't looked back. The
couple are responsible for World Harvest Church,
Harvest Preparatory School, World Harvest Bible College and World
Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship.
The purpose of the World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship is
gather pastors and churches of all denominations in America and around
the world to reach the lost for Jesus Christ. The WHCMF is also place
of safety and covering for churches and pastors looking for strength,
anointing and impartation from like-minded ministers of the Gospel of
Christ.
